Skill blocks can be thought of as the building blocks of a freelancer's "universal skills profile". They consist of skill components which candidates build at specific touch-points over the course of their career:
- Learning blocks
- Time blocks
- Quality blocks
When put together, these components are what power Talentblocks' skills recommendation engine.
In similar fashion to fantasy sports, or football manager games, Talentblocks incentivises freelancers to increase their skill ratings over time by helping them visualise those skills in need of most improvement.
In the same vein, clients are better able to mix and match talent in a democratic way according to their needs, similar to banks offering different interest rates to borrowers depending on their credit rating.
